What Disney songs would sound like in their characters’ native languages

If you’ve got a Disney tune stuck in your head, this might help change it up.

YouTube user Movie Munchies has created two videos of Disney Princesses singing the songs that made them famous in their original languages.

So The Little Mermaid’s Ariel performs in Danish, Mulan in Mandarin and Aladdin’s Jasmine in her native Arabic and Rapunzel in German. Our favourite is Frozen’s Elsa singing in Norwegian.

In the second video, Snow White sings Whistle While You Work in German, while Beauty And The Beast's Belle and Sleeping Beauty’s Aurora use their mother tongue, French.

Other highlights include Megara from Hercules belting out a tune in Greek, and Anna’s song in Frozen sounds just as good in Norwegian as it does in English.

Even if you're not a fan of the music, it’s a great way to remind yourself just how cosmopolitan the Disney Princesses really are.
