Disneyland Paris are looking for new princesses - here's how to apply

What if we told you that you could swap the overcrowded commute for a jaunt to a castle, jack in the daily wardrobe dilemma for a uniform of statement dresses and ditch the long days sitting at a desk for the chance to bust out your moves to your heart’s content?

OK, we’ll throw in a move to Paris and some adoring fans to boot. Sound like your kind of gig?

Then you need to act fast, as the folks at Disneyland Paris are coming to the UK in the hunt for new princesses and princes – with open auditions on 10 September in Leeds.

Following on from the call out for perfect villains, you could seize the opportunity to step into a whole new world as feisty Jasmine...

Or live out your mermaid dreams as the curious Ariel…

You might not have a fairy godmother, but you could be getting a makeover à la Cinderella...

Or perhaps you see yourself as our number one feminist princess, Moana...

If you have a distinctive likeness to a particular princess, that will determine your fairy-tale destiny, as Disney are searching for character lookalikes to welcome visitors to the park. Alternatively, you could put your performance skills to use in the parades and cavalcades.

According to the advert on disneylandparis.com whichever role you apply for, you need a good level of dance ability and to be between 137cm and 193cm tall. Obviously, you’ll speak either French or English.

A penchant for plenty of tulle, tiaras and twirling is probably a necessity too.

If you are cast as one of the leading ladies, you would be getting into character for a minimum of four months and there are accommodation options available. There are 40 positions to fill, open to those aged 18 and above.

There are no details about salary but a quick search on glassdoor.co.uk tells us that it ranges from €570-624 (approx. £523-573) a month for an apprentice cast member, and €960-1000 (£881-918) a month for experienced cast members.

If you can see yourself slipping into character, you need to get yourself to the auditions at the Yorkshire Dance Center in Leeds on 10 September at 10am. You can find more information here
