It’s already been an exciting year in the world of Disney Pixar. Toy Story 4 was released in June, proving to be just as heart-warming and hilarious as the first three – thanks in part to Bo Peep’s feminist transformation. And a trailer for Onward delighted fans in May, following the story of two elf brothers voiced by Chris Pratt and Tom Holland who go on a quest to find magic in the world (but we have to wait until 6 March 2020 for it to hit our screens). 

Now, the studio has teased us with the artwork for a brand-new film: Soul.

What is Disney and Disney Pixar’s new film Soul about?

Alongside the new artwork published on their Facebook page, the studio gave a vague outline on the film’s story, writing: “One year from today, Disney Pixar Animation Studios will take you on a journey from the streets of New York City to the cosmic realms to discover the answers to life’s most important questions. Disney & Disney Pixar’s “Soul” arrives in theaters on June 19, 2020.”

Who stars in Disney Pixar’s new film Soul?

The cast for Soul is yet to be revealed, but we do know that Disney Pixar’s chief creative director Pete Doctor is the film’s director. This is good news because he has previously delivered us favourite Pixar offerings Monsters Inc., Up and Inside Out. It’s also produced by Academy Award nominee Dana Murray.

When is Disney Pixar’s new film Soul released?

According to the Facebook post, we’ll have to wait a whole year until the film is released on 19 June 2020. Now that the Toy Story franchise has officially ended, we’ll be counting down the days t being able to find hope, heart and hilarity through animation.

Is there a trailer for the new Disney Pixar film Soul?
