This helicopter restaurant is London’s wildest new dining experience

Love to be the first to know about the most original restaurants in London? This helicopter dining experience sounds worthy of particularly high praise.

London is a city packed full of dining experiences for those who love a good view. But what if you could literally be sky-high while you ate your favourite dish? Now you can, thanks to Deliveroo. The humble ol’ food delivery service promising to take food lovers to new heights with its latest venture.

But for all of these fabulously fancy venues, Deliveroo the humble ol’ food delivery service, has pulled something out of the bag that stands head and shoulders – literally – above the rest.

On 9 August Deliveroo will be trialling its first ever helicopter restaurant. Yes, that means what you think it means. Diners will get to eat in a helicopter while it hovers above some of London’s greatest skyscrapers, sitting 1,000ft in the air – which is twice the height of the city’s tallest restaurant, Duck & Waffle.

The Roocopter One is a first for London, so anyone who considers themselves an avid follower of the foodie scene will want to keep their eyes on the sky. Before boarding, guests will be invited to choose food from some of Deliveroo’s biggest clients including Wagamama, Chipotle, Bababoom and Joe Public, which they will be able to feast on when floating above the skyline.

The experience starts in Battersea, taking off from Battersea helipad and then tours the city to see landmarks like the Shard and the 02. All in all, diners will only be in the air for around 20 minutes, so you could even fit it into your lunch break.

The experience is free (which is amazing) but you have to register for your chance to get a ticket. Currently the first wave of tickets have all been allocated, so we recommend following the brand to check out anymore ticket releases.
