Here's a little something that will make you smile. A really, really tiny tortoise.
These baby swamp tortoises have a lot to smile about. They were born recently at Adelaide Zoo as part of a breeding program for the endangered species as only around 200 of them still exist!
The latest batch of babies, born in March and May this year, weigh as little as 3.5g. That's less than half the weight of a pound coin! Aw..
The babies eat mosquito larvae and live brine shrimp at the mo and when they get a bit older they will eat a special 'tortoise pudding' made from rat, white flesh fish, multi-vitamins and calcium set in gelatine.
Hmmm, not so cute..
