A woman is shining the light on the hypocrisy of certain men's comments on women's revealing or topless photos on the internet, by re-posting their remarks next to their own topless pictures on Twitter.

Under brilliantly sarcastic captions and the hashtag #shirtlessshamers2016, user @CardsAgstHrsmt is exposing the men who take it upon themselves to tell women how they "lose respect" for posting "half naked pictures"  - but then feel it's perfectly fine to post topless pictures of themselves. 

The woman from Minneapolis, who goes by the name Lindsey, started her rampant campaign earlier this month by posting one tweet a day.

While body-shaming is a widespread problem in the digital era, men are often exempt from the way women's bodies are dissected and scrutinised in the public domain.

The 'Free the Nipple' campaign on Instagram is one movement which hopes to banish the double standards, sexualisation and censorship placed on female breasts on the internet. 

We only need to look at celebrity pictures and the latest trend for "dad bods" to see that certain women's figures are critised where men's bodies are celebrated.
