Whether you're in a tiny, can't-swing-a-cat studio or a massive country pile, storage ideas and space-saving tips can always enhance your living routine.
From a sleek magnet for your bathroom essentials to a way of ironing that doesn't require a big fold out board, take a look at our round up of the most creative ways to use your space.
MAGNETIC BATHROOM RACK

The small, fiddly metal grooming tools you use on a regular basis, in one handy magnetic strip in your bathroom. This metal rack is actually Ikea's £11 knife rack, repurposed by the clever bloggers at Darkoom and Dearly.
If you're a fan of Ikea-related rebellion, visit Ikea Hackers, a blog dedicated to not using the Swedish retailer's products for the sense they were intended.
WALL-MOUNTED WINE RACK
As much as we're grateful for any bottle of vino that lands in our kitchen, they take up a fair amount of room - and a dedicated 'wine cupboard' seems excessive.
Cue the wall-mounted wine rack that stores the bottles on their side to prevent corking. We like Cranville Wine Racks' £24 offering from black + blum.
INSIDE CUPBOARD RACK

A great idea for tall, spacious cupboards where smaller items can end up out of reach. Drill short screws through a metal magazine file for bulkier items, such as the cling film-type boxes stored here, or attach a wooden magazine rack for flat items like chopping boards.
PORTABLE IRONING MAT
For people who try to avoid ironing wherever possible, but have the odd item that needs a once-over, an ironing board is a cumbersome kitchen eyesore.
Donate it to the scrapman and invest in this £6.79 wonder.
FOLD DOWN SHELF
Perfect for studio flats with no space for a table, this simple wall-mounted drop leaf table from Ikea (£29) acts as a shelf when it's not in use.
ACCESSORIES HANGER
Hang scarves, belts, headbands, necklaces, bracelets and even earphones in one place in your wardrobe. Perfect for people who have a few staple items they use on a regular basis.
We like Lakeland's £3.99 non-slip version, or if you're feeling especially thrifty, get creative with some shower hooks and a hanger a la the According to L blog.
DUAL SHOWER CURTAIN ROD AND TOWEL HANGER
Where has this been all our lives? This extendable one is £34.99 from Amazon and comes with all the fictures and fittings.
BED RISERS
We've cheated a bit with these power bed risers. They're currently only available in America ($29.99 from Bed Bath and Beyond) but they are too good of an idea not to share. The 7-inch risers boost bed legs to give much more storage underneath and these even feature twin 110-volt, 15-amp grounded power outlets and a twin USB 5-volt DC outlet for gadget charging.
The nearest thing we could find in the UK are these wooden bed risers for £84.65, which have a nice oak finish and can be adjusted to different heights.
