Book with your exclusive Stylist discount code STYLIST241 here, and get 2 for 1 tickets to see seminal textile artist Anni Albers at Tate Modern for you and a friend.

It’s no secret that an integral part of our work at Stylist is championing women - especially those who previously haven’t received the recognition they deserve.

We’ve dedicated a whole campaign to uncovering and shining a light on the stories of Forgotten Women throughout history, we marched for them in our t-shirt emblazoned with the slogan ‘Women in History Shouldn’t be a Mystery’ for the century of votes for women and we big up their achievements every week in our Woman of the Week feature.

So, when we heard that Anni Albers, the German textile artist and printmaker who passed away in 1994, was finally getting her first major solo exhibition in the UK at the Tate Modern, we knew this was an event we needed to lend our support to.

We’ve collaborated with Tate Modern to offer Stylist readers 2-for-1 tickets on this long overdue exhibition, meaning that if you book online with the code STYLIST241 before 10 October, you and a friend can go and see Albers’ work for half the price. The exhibition will be running from 11 October until 27 January, so make sure you book ahead of time here to make the most of our offer.

This tribute to Albers’s pivotal contribution to modern art and design will explore her creative process and look at how she engaged with architecture, design and art in her work, as well as showing what her profound influence has been on artists all around the world.

There will be 350 objects on show at the exhibition, from exquisite small-scale ‘pictorial weavings’ to large wall-hangings. The textiles that she designed for mass production will also be there to view, as well as her later prints and drawings.

At the heart of the exhibition will be an exploration of Albers’s seminal publication On Weaving. Published in 1965, the book is a meditation on the art of weaving including its history, tools and techniques and its implications for modern design. The exhibition will give a fascinating insight into the wide source material she gathered together to create the book.

We want to give everyone the chance to have access to this unique opportunity to see the work of one of 20th century’s leading textile artists, so if you’re interested in learning more about Albers, grab a friend and use our discount code STYLIST241 to get your tickets for half the price.
