As soup season is in full swing, here are some beautiful ramen bowls to hold all your hearty broths, soups and noodle dishes this autumn.
As the chilly weather sets in, we’re keen to find ways to make our dinners all the more comforting. After all, salads may be a great option for lighter summer dining, but after a commute home on a cold, dark and gloomy night, we know that we’ll be looking forward to a piping-hot dinner to warm us up.
While soup is always a great contender, if there’s one dish we can’t get enough of this season, it’s ramen. The Japanese dish makes for a filling dinner thanks to its perfect combination of soup, vegetables and broth – and you can add chicken, tofu or anything else you fancy.
To serve this autumnal delight, you’re going to need ramen bowls. While the bowl you use for your morning cereal might cut it in a pinch, ramen bowls are specifically designed to hold the perfect combination of broth and noodles, so typically have a larger capacity and are wider and deeper than your average bowl.
Here, we’ve curated nine of our favourite ramen bowls that are as chic as they are practical – providing you with the perfect serveware for a cosy dinner at home.
Denby Halo stoneware ramen bowl
Elevate your next ramen dish by serving it in a beautiful bowl, like this one from Denby. With two-tone glazing, it incorporates blue and indigo shades to make it a stylish addition to any dining table.
Our Place side bowls, set of four
Don’t be fooled by the name of these bowls – with a diameter of over 15cm, they’re the ideal size for serving ramen. We love this speckled design but they also come in a luxe-looking charcoal hue.
Sous Chef blue Sakura ramen bowl
If you’re searching for a more traditional bowl which taps into the Japanese heritage of this dish, then look no further than this beautiful option from Sous Chef with its intricate Sakura flower print.
Yvonne Ellen ramen bowls with chopsticks
This sweet set also comes with a set of wooden chopsticks. What more could you need?
M&S Michigan bowls, set of four
While these bowls say they’re ideal for pasta, we think they’d be great for serving ramen, pho or any other kind of noodle dish. The on-trend green colour makes them undeniably stylish and at £15 for four bowls, they’re a steal.
World Gourmet zen ramen bowl
Another stoneware bowl that features a Japanese-inspired design, this design is also dishwasher and microwave safe, making it pretty and practical.
West Elm Kanto stoneware ramen bowl
Need a bowl that will suit any kitchen or dining space? You can never go wrong with a neutral colour like white.
The Japanese Shop whale ramen bowl, set of two
If you’re cooking for two, then this set is the one for you. With its intricate and detailed whale design, it also comes with chopsticks to allow you to enjoy your ramen in the most authentic way.
John Lewis stoneware ramen bowl
John Lewis took inspiration from Japanese designs to create this ramen bowl. Made from stoneware and finished with a dark reactive glaze, it’s also dishwasher and microwave safe.
Anthropologie Ricky bowls, set of four
Add interest to your table with these stunning bowls, which boast an on-trend scalloped edge. Made from stoneware, each one is hand-painted and has a glazed finish.
