Looking for some interior décor inspo or trying to pick your 2024 hair colour? You might want to pay attention to this.
Etsy has announced its 2024 colour of the year as Berry, and we’re big fans.
A rich jewel-toned shade that blends deep reds and blues, it goes nicely with the coquettish touches we’ve been seeing all over the fashion and interior design worlds lately, but still veers a little on the darker side.
Think of it as a grown-up, romantic alternative to the popular pinks of 2023, which Etsy has noticed dropping in popularity with searches on the site down 58% lately, suggesting people are a bit more interested in the comparatively relaxed glamour of berry than the high camp of pink these days.
And since it’s a strong colour, you also don’t need a lot of it to make an impact.
“Deeper than pink but softer than red,” the Etsy experts say, “berry is a versatile hue that can carry through the seasons and it adds a welcome pop of colour through accessories and décor accents alike.”
