They may have been the summer holiday drink of choice, but slushies aren’t just for children. Here are some of the best alcoholic frozen cocktails in the city.

Cast your mind back to the summers of your childhood. You’d spend all day outside in the sunshine, running around and playing games with friends. And what was the refreshment you craved afterwards and likely had to beg your parents for? An icy, syrupy slushie that turned your tongue red or blue.

Thankfully, since then, slushies have become a bit more sophisticated, combining their whimsical feel with some of our favourite alcoholic drinks. From frozen rosé at Pix Pintos to the famous Aperol spritz slushie at Double Standard, these are the spots across the city to cool off and chill out with a frozen cocktail this weekend.
