Why not take your dogs out for a walk and then a festive dinner date at these dog-friendly restaurants in London.

The festive season is upon us and London is a city of keen foodies and dog lovers alike, but it’s not every day that you can combine the two. After a long dog walk on a Sunday afternoon, you’re probably thinking of the logistics of taking your four-legged friend home before you find a pub or restaurant that’ll cook up a delicious Sunday roast. Or maybe you’re going out to enjoy a glass of mulled wine with friends on a Friday night but wish you could bring your dog with you.

Well, look no further because we’ve rounded up some of the best spots in London where you can enjoy some of the tastiest meals and bring along your furry loved ones. Here are nine of the best dog-friendly restaurants to book right now.

The Aubrey

Tucked away in Knightsbridge, The Aubrey is a Japanese-inspired spot that’s gone above and beyond to ensure your dogs are also given star treatment with the creation of the Pawbrey Menu. Enjoy a luxurious dinner for you and your four-legged friend after a long old walk from Hyde Park, which is just around the corner.

St. John Smithfield

The restaurant has retained a Michelin star since 2009, and with a menu that changes daily, St. John is all about sharing experiences (and food) with your furry companion in its bar area – especially one of its constant dishes: bone marrow and parsley salad.

Carousel’s Wine Bar

In the heart of Fitzrovia, Carousel’s Wine Bar not only has a 100-strong wine list (yes, really) but also a menu of seasonal changing small plates. And the best part? You can bring all your dogs along as you enjoy a glass of wine and some grilled pumpkin with chestnut, butter and sage.

Padella Shoreditch

With your beloved dog by your side, tuck into plates of the much-loved pici cacio e pepe as well as seasonal dishes such as pumpkin ravioli with westcombe ricotta and rich sage butter and the flavour-packed fettuccine with wild mushrooms. And to go with your pasta, why not try the Padella negroni?

The Lobby at The Peninsula

Four-legged friends will be welcomed at The Lobby with a fluffy bed, so sit back, relax and watch the world go by as you dine in the grand dining room for breakfast, afternoon tea, lunch or dinner. No doggy Fomo here.

Bellanger

Located in Islington, this French-inspired restaurant has beautiful interiors and, in the warmer months, a large outdoor terrace where you can enjoy a spot of brunch or a coffee. And Bellanger won’t forget your dog either, with homemade biscuits made just for them. Because they deserve a little treat, too.

With an open kitchen, a vast bar and lots of foliage, Wild By Tart is a delicious spot in Victoria serving up dishes using meat from the founders’ farms and seasonal produce. And your dogs can enjoy the beauty of this venue too – they’re very much welcome here.
