Get a taste of island life without leaving the city at these Caribbean eateries.

With the 58th annual Notting Hill Carnival taking to the streets this August bank holiday weekend, celebrations of Caribbean culture will be happening across the city. And what better way to get involved than by enjoying rum punch, beef patties, and ackee and saltfish in one of the best authentic spots London has to offer?

From delicious plant-based restaurants to the “best ever” Caribbean food in the heart of Brixton (or so says Stylist’s Meena Alexander), here are six perfect places to get a taste of island life.
