Try something new with a tasting menu in these eight London restaurants.

Between tiny portions and sky-high prices, it’s no wonder that fine dining restaurants have got a bit of a bad reputation. We tend to think of them as stuffy and formal, but London is full of set-menu options that absolutely prove otherwise. Because even if a Michelin-starred experience isn’t in your budget, it doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy an elevated dinner experience. After all, tasting menus can be a really fun way to try different and inventive dishes that you’d never usually pick off of an à la carte menu.

So if you’re looking for an alternative date night, somewhere to celebrate a special occasion or simply want to indulge your foodie side, here are eight restaurants across the city offering tasting menus for under £85.
