Welcome to our Move Of The Week series. Every Monday, we’ll be sharing one of our favourite exercises with you – how to do them, what muscles they work, and why they should be a regular part of your workout regime. This week: jump squats.

Squats are one of the best lower-body exercises to help you build muscle. And with many variations, from goblet squats to Bulgarian split-squats, there are lots of ways you can alter them to make sure they’re tailored to your goals and preferences.

The jump squat is one variation of the movement that is ideal for cardio workouts or if you’re simply looking to raise your heart rate on leg day. With no equipment required, it’s one of the easiest ways to target your lower body while getting a sweat on.
