If you’ve got depression, the chances are that at some point, someone’s told you to try running. And there’s a good chance that you went out, did a jog and still felt like crap afterwards. At her lowest, Allie Bailey was running 52 marathons a year and drinking two or three bottles of wine before towing the start line. Now sober, she’s written a book called There Is No Wall – all about depression, running and the reality of functional addiction. Here, she tells Miranda Larbi why she’s so keen to break the myths around running and mental health.
A weekly dose of expert-backed tips on everything from gut health to running.
