I have always had trouble sleeping. Ever since I was a child, falling asleep has never felt smooth or natural. Monsters under my bed, piles of clothes that turned into ghosts as soon as the clock struck bedtime or just pure and simple fear of the dark; you name it, I was worried about it. That was amplified during my university years with the stress of exams and trying to find my path in my 20s giving me some pretty horrible, restless nights.
Fast-forward to the last two years, when the situation really took a turn for the worse. A pandemic, a new house, a mortgage and working from home every day meant several sleepless nights in a row.
