With a silver medal under her belt and a baby on her hip, Team GB’s skeet shooter Amber Rutter is making waves both on and off the Olympic shooting range. Just three months after giving birth to her son, she not only made it to Paris 2024 but managed to shoot her way to a podium finish.

With a characteristically tongue-in-cheek Instagram bio that reads ‘Just a girl that shoots guns’, Rutter is all about challenging the idea of what it means to be a woman – and now a mum.

Speaking to Team GB after her win, Rutter said: “Being part of the club of being an Olympic medallist and a mum at the same time… feels so inspirational. I hope we can share the message to other mums that your life doesn’t stop after having a baby.

“Things have really changed. Your life doesn’t have to stop, [your family] just has to come along on the ride with you.”
