Zara has given us a lot of must-have items in its lifetime (remember The Coat?), so we make a point of keeping up to date with the fashion store’s bestsellers.
Before, this meant trawling through Instagram hashtags in a bid to pinpoint the items that everyone is obsessing over. Nowadays, though, things have gotten one helluva lot easier – and it’s all thanks to a sneaky section on the website.

That’s right: the American version of the online Zara store has a whole new section titled ‘Bestsellers’ – and, as you probably guessed, it does exactly what it says on the tin.
Through carefully monitoring algorithms (and general digital wizardry), the online store is able to identify the items that e-v-e-r-y-b-o-d-y is buying, and shine a light on all the upcoming trends we need to know about.
While this is a US-specific tool, we’ve done a little digging – and it seems as if the unusual summer dress that our friends over the pond have lost their hearts too is also available in the UK, too.
Check it out:
This midi dress is certainly a statement number: that bold and beautiful print is eye-catching, without being OTT, while the V-neck and short sleeves promises a flattering fit.
It works for the sunshine months particularly well (to paraphrase the inimitable Miranda Priestley: florals, for summer? Ground-breaking.) but this is a piece that will work in autumn and winter, too. All you need to do is layer it up with some knitwear and a pair of opaques and you’re golden.
Best of all, it costs a cool £25.99 – not bad for one of this season’s big must-have items.
You can pick up yours on the Zara website now. But, if it’s not quite your thing, it seems safe to say that midi-length dresses and big floral prints are going to be big news this season, so keep that in the mind when you’re next in a shopping mood…
You could try this £38 frock from ASOS.com:
Or this £49 midi from Topshop:
Mango’s twist on the trend (£49) looks great with a leather jacket:
Debenhams have opted for a gingham version of the trend – and those ever-so-subtle floral details make it perfect for anyone who just doesn’t like anything too flowery:
And trust us when we say that this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Don’t believe us? Check out ShopStyle.co.uk – they’ve only gone and listed every single floral midi gown on the high street now. And, judging by the sheer number of options available, we think it’s safe to say that these flowers – unlike the real kind – aren’t going to wilt away when summer is over...
