“I’m a fashion director – here’s why I’m looking to The White Lotus for style inspiration”

The White Lotus is the epitome of elegant holiday style. As season three launches today, Stylist’s fashion director, Lucy Reber, rounds up the fashion collaborations with the show to know now.

I’ve been waiting with great anticipation for The White Lotus’s third season, and I know I’m not the only one. Who doesn’t need a fix of escapist, luxury holiday viewing right now? The first episode has now dropped in the UK, and I’ll be watching as soon as possible.

There’s so much to love about the previous series and part of the show’s appeal, apart from the glamourous locations, are the fashion looks being served. Who could forget Jennifer Coolidge in season two with her la dolce vita style: the flowing headscarves, big prints and even bigger sunglasses had me mesmerised.

While Jennifer won’t be returning this time around, the cast of The White Lotus season three is on point. I’m looking forward to performances – and looks – from Parker Posey and Aimee Lou Wood in particular. The great news is that H&M is launching a collection this week, in collaboration with the show’s costume designer, Alex Bovaird. So, come holiday season, we can all emulate the show’s elevated style. As she says: “We have this little catchphrase on the show: ‘Nothing’s too much for The White Lotus!’”

Recent chats with friends seem to suggest that we all have a separate summer holiday style that is a departure from our normal day-to-day look. So maybe I do need that cream carry-on case and paisley print kaftan after all. Read on for what to shop to get The White Lotus look.

The White Lotus H&M brown ruffled dress

The White Lotus x H&M

I absolutely love the whole of this timely collection. It’s made up of printed co-ords, floaty dresses and desirable swimwear. It nods to the bohemian style of the 1970s, but with a truly modern spin.

My favourite piece is this chocolate brown frilled dress, which will straddle both worlds of my holiday and city wardrobes.

The White Lotus x Away The Bigger Carry On

The White Lotus x Away

Away has created the ultimate in travel luxury with this range of raffia getaway bags and their award-winning suitcase in a ‘paradise weave’ finish.

While I can’t imagine taking all eight pieces – plus packing cubes – on any trip of mine, I love to think of someone doing just that.

My top choice is the Bigger Carry-On with perfect packing compartments and 360-degree wheels for a smooth journey.

The American brand have a range of low-key sweaters, T-shirts and caps reading The White Lotus that are perfect for a spot of unisex dressing. Less of a collab and more of a small homage to the series.

I especially love the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sweater and cap. The cap caused quite a stir in the office and sold out as I was writing this… probably to Stylist staffers.

I’ll be investing in the chic navy sweater instead.
