The top 3 styling tips to take away from Victoria Beckham’s Paris spring/summer 2025 show

The Spice Girl-turned-designer showed us how to achieve the near-naked styling trend with a grown-up twist at her Paris spring/summer 2025 show.
Victoria Beckham is famous for many things: her quick wit, an eye for luxury and a formidable fashion line that commands the same amount of attention as some of the largest labels in the world, making her brand a big part of Paris Fashion Week. Yet, while clothes are an integral part of any runway, Beckham sought out a slightly different source of inspiration this season, and it leans into one of this year’s biggest trends: near-naked dressing.
“For spring/summer 2025, Victoria Beckham evolves her exploration of the wardrobe not only as a space in which we dress but where we undress, too,” writes the show notes. “The study unfolds in a celebration of the naked form conveyed in real and illusory states of undress,” it continues. Adding, “the manifestations inspire reflections on our individual understandings of the sensual, seductive, and sexy, as well as our instinctive ideas of what it means to be and feel ‘dressed’”.
This, of course, comes hot on the heels of the sheer styling trend that took over last season’s fashion shows: Saint Laurent, Valentino, Mugler and Chloé included. As well as the no-trousers look that has been bubbling for a little while now: hello, thigh-high hemlines. So we aren’t surprised to see transparent touches, skin-baring draping and cropped cuts make up this season’s Victoria Beckham collection.
As with all VB fashion shows, there is an added glamour and maturity to these near-naked looks. So, if you’re looking to touch on the trend without feeling overexposed, allow us to share the three styling tips we’ll be taking from the show. After all, if we’re going to steal one woman’s style, Mrs Beckham is quite high on the target list.

Go bold with a bodysuit
Bodysuits are a great fashion find for those who like minimal faff. Covering the entire body, they seamlessly slot under trousers, jeans and skirts without the worry of being tucked in, creating a clean, wrinkle-free top that’s certainly chic. This season, however, Victoria Beckham has added extra interest, cutting the basic body suit in an 80s-inspired hip-baring way that’s sure to add a lightly sexy spin.
Using crafty cutouts in unexpected places will liven up any look, especially when contrasted with semi-formal fashion finds like a wide-leg trouser and leather jacket. So, while a bodysuit is an incredibly easy way to achieve the aesthetic, any cutout top is sure to create a similar style, so long as it’s paired with a more modest fit to create that unexpected contrast.

Nudge into daring necklines
Necklines have long been a way to add extra interest to any outfit, no matter if it’s a chunky turtleneck, a classic boat neck or a striking one-shoulder. The most daring of the lot, however, has to be a deep V-neck, which Victoria Beckham used very wisely in this season’s show.
Incorporating the belly-button skimming cut into a more modest maxi-length gown, Beckham emphasised the importance of creating a striking shape and bringing a skin-baring aspect into any outfit. While this is quite an extreme example, opening an extra button (or two) on a simple white shirt or choosing a V-neck top to pair with jeans are two simple ways to tread softly on the trend.

Step into subtly sheer pieces
Sheer styling is arguably one of the most daring looks to date. In recent street style snaps, we’ve seen everything from fine-knit jumpers paired with jeans to bum-baring skirts showing full underwear underneath. Yet, in true VB style, she brings us a more modest take on the trend by styling it with juxtaposing pieces.
Through layering sheer tops underneath oversized suit jackets and trousers, only a small sliver of sheer fabric is shown, meaning we aren’t attempting to free the nip, although the result is still striking. So, rest assured we will be adding sheer fabrics underneath some of our favourite outerwear allowing them to ever so slightly peek through.
