The latest H&M designer collaboration is here, and we are beyond excited

H&M has announced its latest designer collaboration – and it’s with none other than Japanese-founded, French luxury house and brand of the moment, Kenzo.

Announcing the news on Twitter and Instagram with a teaser video, the high street chain revealed that the collaboration will be launching in stores on 3 November – and we are already counting down the days.

The collection will be the 12th in a line of prestigious designer collaborations with H&M, following on from last year’s wildly successful Balmain collab – which saw Oliver Rousteing create a collection that caused London shoppers to entirely lose the plot just to get their hands on a piece.

Kenzo, a brand far removed from the sexy glamour of Balmain, promises to bring something quite different to a long line of collaborations.

The brand was taken over five years ago by Carol Lim and Humberto Leon – founders of trendy New York label, Opening Ceremony – and their colourful, fun, youthful styles will no-doubt be full of bold prints and killer sweatshirts.

And we can certainly expert a lot of tiger motifs.

The duo will be following in the footsteps of designers including Alexander Wang, Karl Lagerfeld and Isabel Marant.

"With this collaboration with H&M we want to think big, push the boundaries and bring the new energy of KENZO to everyone around the world," Kenzo said this morning.

Speaking to Vogue.com, the duo said:

“Collaborations are part of our DNA through Opening Ceremony. We’re in company with a great list of people who’ve done [collaborations with H&M], and it felt like a nice platform, to do something in a really big way. It felt like we could make a large impact doing something with them.”

The collection will include womenswear, menswear and accessories, and will drop in 250 H&M stores and online on 3 November, following a show in October – the location of which is yet to be disclosed.

We. Cannot. Wait.
