Comfort is key no matter what the weather throws at us.
‘Comfort is key’ has been a reigning trend for some time now. Skinny jeans have been swapped for bigger, baggier cuts; oversized T-shirts have replaced tight-fitting tops and, most importantly, sky-high heels have been put to the back of the wardrobe in favour of cool, comfy trainers. But while simplistic styles such as Adidas Stan Smiths and Veja were once considered the epitome of chic, chunkier, sports-like shapes have slowly started to take over and they certainly add a spring to your step.
Few brands have boomed in fashion circles quite like New Balance. The humble sports shoe once adorned by runners can now be spotted in many ‘cool girl’ wardrobe, styled with everything from dresses to jeans and even workwear suits. On Running has seen a similar rise, with its shoes being pulled out of gym bags and into street style – the same can be said for Salomon.
So, if you’re tempted to try the sporty-yet-stylish shoe for yourself, keep scrolling to see Stylist’s edit of the best ones to buy now that can be worn with anything in your wardrobe.
