Calling all Phoebe Waller-Bridge fans! We’ve scoured the net to find the Fleabag dress of your dreams…
As a rule, we do not aspire to copy Fleabag’s life choices. Her wardrobe, on the other hand, is a thing we do envy.
The show may not have set out to make any fashion statements, but Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s striking wardrobe choices (such as her iconic backless jumpsuit) have prompted viewers to rush from their televisions to their smartphones in a desperate bid to track them down for themselves. So it should come as little surprise to learn that, in the two weeks since the finale of Fleabag’s second season, Lyst has reported that online searches for red dresses is up by 38%. And, yeah, it’s all thanks to the gorgeous, floral number that Waller-Bridge’s character donned for the last episode.
Speaking to The Guardian about the standout wardrobe choice, the show’s costume designer Ray Holman said the red dress was “perfect for Fleabag… slightly inappropriately short hemline and good ethics”.
Naturally, this is something we’re all keen to emulate.
