Earlier this week saw the launch of the Designer Pudsey collection where designers such as Erdem, Mulberry and Jonathan Saunders gave the traditional Pudsey Bear a sartorial makeover to raise money for BBC's Children In Need.

Tradition has been completely turned on its head and the childhood icon - no longer archetypal yellow - can now be seen in silver leather (Giles Deacon), Highland inspired tartan (Henry Holland), cashmere with diamonds (Pringle), soft brown leather (Mulberry) and various prints that run the gamut from quirky ikat (Topshop Unique) to pretty florals (Erdem and Liberty).

Today we are excited to learn that Katie Grand - the uber stylist behind Louis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs - has also thrown her hat in the ring. She has collaborated with Kim Jones, head menswear designer at Louis Vuitton, to produce a bear that is supremely covetably. Not only is Pudsey adorned in a Stephen Sprouse print and a festive red studded leather jacket, he also comes in his own exquisite LV monogrammed case.

You can see the bears in all their glory at Liberty's, the London department store where they will be displayed until the 19th of November 2011. The entire collection is being auctioned to raise money for BBC Children in Need so if you desire to own a cuddly bit of fashion history visit bbc.co.uk/pudsey
