Featuring boxy shoulders and found in a clutch of traffic-stopping colours, this riff on the classic blazer has taken the fashion world by storm. And now, it’s here to update your summer line-ups.
Nothing beats the nonchalant appeal of draping a big and boxy blazer over an outfit; it’s the sartorial accoutrement that completes any and all ensembles with a simple *chef’s kiss*.
It’s little wonder that style czars the world over are reaching into the depths of their wardrobes to promote their boxy blazers to a primetime slot in their everyday arsenals, given that the androgynous shapes have been championed by minimalist mavens the Olsen twins at The Row, Demna Gvasalia at Balenciaga and queen of green Gabriela Hearst. These blazers are obnoxiously roomy, arrogantly oversized and do little to streamline a silhouette, but therein lies their power.

For here is a jacket that does all of the talking for you; simply throw over a slip dress – any other dress, for that matter – jeans, shorts or a skirt and watch as its power shoulders and punchy shape introduce you before you need to so much as even say a word or lift a finger.
Invest in a forever fashion staple that will not only stand the test of time but, before you know it, will become the most hard-working member of your wardrobe.
