From Cynthia Erivo to Demi Moore, here’s all of the best looks from the 2025 Academy Awards red carpet.

Award season is in full swing and now the biggest night in Hollywood has arrived: the Oscars.

On the 2 March 2025, the prestigious 97th Academy Awards were held at the Dolby Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard, which was hosted by chat show legend Conan O’Brien who took over the mantle from Jimmy Kimmel. The acclaimed film awards are a defining celebration in Hollywood’s calendars as celebrities turn out – dressed to the nines – to walk the red carpet. And this year is no different.

Wicked stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo posed for the cameras and made sweet nods to their respective characters with Grande in a Glinda-esque champagne-coloured Schiaparelli gown and Erivo in an Elfie emerald green Louis Vuitton dress. Metallic hues were front at centre at the Golden Globes 2025 red carpet a trend that continued through to the Oscars as Mindy Kaling, Demi Moore, Felicity Jones and Halle Berry, all opted for sensational silver gowns.

Old Hollywood glamour was also a firm favourite on the carpet with Da’Vine Joy Randolph’s stunning black dress, Emma Stone’s custom Louis Vuitton gown and Selena Gomez’s Ralph Lauren, which was adorned with 16,000 glass crystals.

Elsewhere, bows continue to make delightful additions to dresses such as Best Actress nominee Mikey Madison’s black and pink Dior moment and Elle Fanning’s gorgeous Givenchy dress. Spring florals also had their moment, while Best Actor nominee Timothée Chalamet opted for a fresh spring palette with a daffodil yellow Givenchy suit. Here are some of our favourite looks from the 2025 Academy Awards.

Cynthia Erivo oscars 2025

Cynthia Erivo in Louis Vuitton

Oozing opulence and elegance in this emerald velvet gown, Cynthia Erivo defies all our expectations (yet again) with this sensational look. The bow. The collar. No notes.

Ariana Grande Oscars 2025

Ariana Grande in Schiaparelli

Ariana Grande brought a touch of pure magic to the red carpet with this champagne Schiaparelli structured gown with an ethereal tulle skirt.

Zoe Saldana Oscars 2025

Zoe Saldaña in Saint Laurent

It was a momentous night for Zoe Saldaña winning Best Supporting Actress for Emilia Perez. Another award should be given to this divine ensemble and the striking sumptuous Saint Laurent gown.

Selena Gomez Oscars 2025

We’re obsessed with Oscar-winning actress Emma Stone’s custom simple yet chic Louis Vuitton gown, almost as much as her slicked-soft curl pixie cut…

Blackpink star Lisa is not only starring in The White Lotus and performing at the Oscars, she’s also reinventing the classic tuxedo dress with this iconic James Bond-inspired ensemble designed by Mark Gong.
