From Chloé’s one-shoulder puff-sleeve dresses to Coperni’s sexy sheer off-the-shoulder slips, these styles were spotted all over the spring/summer 2024 catwalks.
Last season, we swapped our warm, chunky knits for shoulder-bearing options, and the trend isn’t going away anytime soon. Although, as we shed the layers and welcome in spring, having our shoulders as a fashion focal point may be a little more practical at this time of year compared to the chilly winter months. So inspired by the spring/summer catwalks, we’re now weaving Bardot and shoulder-bearing tops into our wardrobes without the need to snuggle up in a scarf.
Looking at the Paris spring/summer runways, off-the-shoulder tops were a standout trend, from Chloé’s one-shoulder puff-sleeve dresses to Coperni’s sexy, sheer off-the-shoulder slips. Paloma Wool proved long-sleeve shoulder-bearing options can be incredibly sexy and Victoria Beckham brought a nautical angle with statement striped styles.
Scouring the high street for similar options, we’ve found nine off-the-shoulder tops to snap up now, including Arket’s ruffle bustier that’s perfect when paired with trousers or jeans and Ninety Percent’s fashion-forward gathered option that goes well with everything from skirts to shorts. Keep scrolling to see what’s on our wishlists.
