Kicking off fashion month, New York sees the fashion crowd don their most exciting looks for the autumn season.
It’s that time of year again. Fashion month - a four week spectacle of shows that begins in New York then moves on to London and Milan before culminating in Paris. Last season saw much of the conversation surrounding street style centred on the severe lack of diversity in race, age and body diversity.
This season, though, New York, has heard the cries of women around the world. Whether it’s due to more diverse attendees or photographers finally capturing more than just what is expected of them, there is a sense of optimism in the air.
Being the September set of shows, New York acts as the first markers for fall fashion (albeit with rising humidity and downpours of rain) with show-goers donning the pieces you will want to get your hands on asap. New season ‘it’ bags, fresher than box fresh trainers, bright tailoring and power prints, get your autumn winter wardrobe inspiration here.
