London Fashion Week is opening its doors to the public for the first time. Here’s how you can get your hands on a front row ticket.
London Fashion Week and its circus of shows, presentations, parties and street style is almost upon us. A time which until now has been exclusively reserved for industry insiders and the fashion world’s elite. From a consumer point of view the only access previously granted was through the eye of social media, where it is almost impossible to get a real feel of the occasion and a sense of emotion.
For this season, this is all about to change because you can now buy a ticket to sit in those hallowed seats at London Fashion Week. The British Fashion Council has announced that House of Holland and Self-Portrait will stage public shows during London Fashion week – where the designers will showcase their autumn/winter 2019 collection during three different time slots.

For House of Holland – the brand launched by Henry Holland in 2008– expect bright, bold and urban designs. Big time models like Winnie Harlow, Agyness Deyn and Cara Delevingne have walked the House of Holland in past shows, with Nick Grimshaw, Alexa Chung and Pixie Geldof frequently making up the front row (and dancing along to an always jubilant soundtrack).

Self-Portrait - a contemporary womenswear brand launched in 2013 - is a London Fashion Week newcomer. And the the aesthetic is very different to that of House of Holland’s. In fact, you have probably seen one of their pretty, uber feminine designs at a wedding or an occasion, as well as worn by A-listers including Michelle Obama, Meghan Markle and Beyoncé.
