When coats are in this season’s key animal print, you know they’re going to be a hero buy that you’ll wear again, and again, and… you get the picture.
A confession: our love for leopard print burns eternal. Yes, we’re aware this fashion staple comes back almost every autumn/winter in one way or another, but we’re prone to falling for it each time: it adds instant kudos to any outfit.
We aren’t the only ones who think so, as proven by the autumn/winter18 catwalks. While Max Mara went wild with top-to-toe print, some designers, such as Victoria Beckham, kept it simple: she only went and upped her coat game 100% with that leopard belted number we’ve been dreaming about since it set foot on the runway. And it has left us dreaming of a fierce feline coat of our own.
Thankfully, there’s so many options to go for… so many, in fact, that it’s tricky to pick just one. But whether you go for a faux fur fluffy number like French Connection’s bound-to-sell-out version, or The Kooples’ iteration of the aviator jacket in all its leopard glory, one thing is guaranteed – you’ll love your leopard print coat year after year. Style it with a crisp white shirt and mom jeans underneath, or clash it with other animal prints like python if you dare.
