Whether you’re pairing it with leather trousers for a chic co-ord or channeling a full 90s vibe with a denim dress and boots, these leather jackets are the versatile pieces you’ll want to wear all season long.
As the days get longer and blossom brightens up our daily walks, piling on those bulky winter coats we’ve relied on for so long doesn’t feel quite right, does it? Whisper it… but we’re starting to get a bit sweaty.
That’s where transitional pieces come in. They’re the perfect solution for those in-between days when it’s not quite cold but not yet warm enough for lighter layers. Alongside ballet flats, lightweight knits and trusty T-shirts, the one cover-up you’ll want to rely on again and again this season is the leather jacket.
Whether you’re into classic black, eye-catching colours or a sleek vegan option, leather is definitely the fabric of the season, and if the autumn/winter 2025 catwalks are anything to go by, it’s here to stay. Street style at London Fashion Week showcased everything from grungy biker jackets and 90s-inspired relaxed blazers to bombers and sleek cropped jackets.
“I can’t remember wanting a leather jacket this much in forever. They are suddenly cool again and I’ll be opting for a black, clean-line style. I will wear this with a white t-shirt and belted washed-out jeans for a low-key look,” says fashion director, Lucy Reber.
No matter what you’re after, we’ve found something to suit every style. Plus, if you’re after a vegan or faux leather look, we’ve got plenty of pieces to fit that brief, too. Keep scrolling to meet the leather jacket styles you’ll never want to leave home without.
