Jenna Ortega has mastered the art of goth chic. Take inspiration with this roundup of the best red carpet and street style looks from the Wednesday and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice star.

Everyone knows Jenna Ortega as the fashion set’s favourite goth girl, a position the 22-year-old actor has made her own with her impeccable style. Whether on screen in Wednesday, X, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice or on the red carpet, Ortega consistently delivers dark, high-octane looks that cement her status as a true queen of cool.

Ortega’s wardrobe brims with dramatic pieces that are so good they’ll save you from the dark side. This is all thanks to her stylist, Enrique Melendez, who has played a crucial role in guiding her from early-career glitz to a more refined, preppy-goth look. Together, they have created a signature style that includes corseted waists, burgundy platform heels and pin-stripe suiting. These carefully curated ensembles not only reflect her gloomy-glam style but also her ability to make plenty of statement red carpet moments.

With spooky season looming, you might be wanting to borrow from Ortega’s style. Take a leaf out of her book, and pair punky plaid skirts with lace and statement shoulders. Don’t forget to wear everything in black. When it comes to nailing the Ortega look, the darker the better, after all.

Below, we’ve compiled a roundup of Jenna Ortega’s most iconic fashion moments. From black leather looks to corseted dresses…

Working with her stylist Enrique Melendez, Ortega gave a not-so-subtle nod to Winona Ryder’s iconic red dress in the original Beetlejuice film. Wearing a custom Dior red tulle wedding-style gown on the red carpet for the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice premiere at the Venice International Film Festival, the actor looked just like Lydia Deetz.

A Corpse Bride vision, Ortega made a dramatic entrance at the world premiere of Wednesday in a stunning black lace Versace gown, complete with a hauntingly beautiful black veil.

Ortega brought her signature spooky style to the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice promo tour in New York. Rocking a Thom Browne plaid skirt, she carried a custom Ozias bag with the words “handbag for the recently deceased”, a reference to the film’s macabre theme. She’s the ghostess with the mostest, and we’re obsessed.

Who could forget her 2023 Met Gala look? Celebrating ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty’, Ortega wore a custom Thom Browne ensemble that paid homage to the late designer (check out the fingerless white gloves). With all the best gothic detail: black corseted dress with a white shirt-style collar and side lacing, flowing into a high-low skirt crafted from tweed, her outfit blended classic Victoriana elements with modern high fashion.

For a more casual look, Ortega channeled her inner Wednesday Addams and stomped around in a pair of burgundy loafers from Tod’s at the Venice Film Festival 2024. Wearing a heritage plaid blazer and pleated skirt from Alessandra Rich and Jimmy Choo, the actor brought a little preppy princess to the Italian streets.

Her get-up for the UK premiere of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice was a sartorial success. Wearing a Harris Reed and Brandon Blackwood green-and-black fitted dress with a house-shaped bag and arm-length gloves, Ortega looked effortlessly glam. We’re so into it.

Dazzling in this season’s key shade, oxblood red, the actor turned heads in London on the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice tour in a stunning tuxedo dress, perfectly paired with cherry red tights and her signature platform heels.
