At a time when we’re craving a fresh style injection, London label Issa has teamed up with net-a-porter.com to launch an array of ‘It’ dresses combining two of the season’s hottest trends: lace and brights.
Best of all, Issa (better known for its slinky silk jersey dresses including the now legendary royal blue style that Kate Middleton wore for her engagement photo) has mastered the most flattering dress shape. Brazilian designer Daniella Helayel has an instinctive feel for what flatters a woman’s body. The new styles combine nipped-in waists with fuller skirts and a hem length that’s sexy but still chic.
It’s not just Kate who has upped the label’s profile (and sent pre-collection sales soaring by 45%). At LFW, Yasmin Le Bon took to the Issa catwalk in skater skirts, prints and pussybow blouses.
We’ve already pledged our allegiance to the red strapless dress. But with every colour of the rainbow up for grabs when the capsule range launches at the end of April, it is going to be tricky to decide.
