Our obsession with black and white dressing shows no sign of fading to grey for another season. But the spring/summer 2014 catwalks introduced new decorative devices to give monochrome a makeover.
Patterned prints, geometrics and intricate detailing all play their part in ensuring the black-and-white look is both elegantly classic and thoroughly modern. The style also lends itself perfectly to another of the season’s trends: bright accessories for a pop of colour.
We asked some friends of Stylist to interpret the look, with the help of stylist Candice Bailey, and captured the results on camera.
Another example of iconic style enjoying a modern new look is the Ford Fiesta. The car’s latest model is available in on-trend Frozen White and Panther Black, with bright LED daytime lights and leather interior. The fashionable accessories continue inside with Ford SYNC with Text Reader, and outside with smart Keyless Entry technology.

You can't go wrong with a white blazer and black trousers. Simple, elegant and always stylish. Wear a patterned top underneath or add a dash of colour with a statement necklace.
