To celebrate the Chinese Year of the Dog, Gucci has brought you a collection guaranteed to make you smile.

Gucci is still the most talked about fashion house among industry insiders thanks to its recent overhaul by creative director Alessandro Michele. Gone are the thigh-skimming bodycon dresses and tasselled boots of the Tom Ford era, a new day has definitely dawned, with sell-out handbag collections and T-shirts reaching cult status.

In celebration of Chinese New Year, on 16 February, Gucci has created the collaboration to end all collaborations, one that involves dogs. If nothing else, surely being the Year of the Dog makes 2018 pretty great?

Inspired by friend and artist Helen Downie (AKA Unskilled Worker), who illustrated Michele’s Boston Terriers Bosco and Orso, the 63-piece collection spans small leather goods, hoodies and trainers.

Even the Gucci stores will be getting a pooch-inspired make over and iPhone X users will have access to special interactive content via the Gucci app. Yes, that does mean bringing the dogs to life and who doesn’t want that?
