Reader question:
Bim_Bam_Bamy @StylistMagazine can u recommend work trousers to suit short, petite frame. Not worn trousers to work for 6 yrs- drown me. #fashionadvice
Answer from Stylist's fashion director Alexandra Fullerton:
You need to search for a slim, ankle-grazing cropped style. When you wear too much fabric they will start to ‘drown’ you so fitted trousers will suit you so much better than a wide leg. If you don’t want to do cropped, you can wear a long pair but make sure they are very slim so they don’t drape over your shoes, I call it the hoof-effect! It’s also worth befriending a good dry-cleaner who can do alterations. Trousers always come in longer lengths because it’s impossible to add on extra fabric, but they can always be shortened. Some stores will alter when you buy trousers too.
