Reader question:
Dear @StylistMagazine where can I find a french lace maxi dress like Daisy Lowe's from Fashion's Night Out? #fashionadvice
Answer from Stylist's fashion desk:
A vintage shop is probably your best bet for a lace maxi dress (no doubt where Daisy, pictured above, found hers) and there are a couple in London that are definitely worth trying. Annie's in Camden Passage always has some real gems when it comes to dresses, and they also do a great selection of vintage lace bridal wear which if you found a style you liked, you could always take to a reputable alteration services and have dyed to black. Virginia's in Holland Park is also a good option. The shop has a room solely dedicated to lace garments which I'm positive you would find something suitable in, just make sure you call ahead beforehand as they only see people via appointment. If the hunt for a maxi version starts to become tricky there are plenty of shorter options on the high street. Visit American Apparel and ASOS.com for a selection of both black and cream styles.
