How tidy is your bedroom right now? Are there clothes and shoes littering the floor? Are errant pairs of socks and random knickers making a suicide bid from their drawers? We hear you.

Luckily, help is at hand.

Following on from the phenomenal success of her bestselling book, The Life Changing Magic of Tidying, and follow up guide, Spark Joy, Marie Kondo has created an exclusive video for stylist.co.uk on how to master the art of folding.

Kondo's precise method of folding is the key to following her philosophy of only keeping items that 'spark joy' and in the video she talks us through the correct way to fold a top, camisole and pair of socks.

From tucking in straps and sleeves to preserving the stretchiness of elastic, the video is full of useful hacks that will have your wardrobe under complete control in no time.

And in the typical mannerism that has made her a household name across the globe, she instructs us that the first step to folding every item is to, "feel the piece of clothing with your hands and communicate your affection with your palms".

Watch the video below and prepare to rethink everything you thought you knew about how to fold...
