The wait is over – the Dr. Martens x Ganni collaboration has landed, and it’s bound to sell out, fast.
As fashion editors, we often get told about new collections, pieces and collaborations well before they launch. Although it’s a perk of the job getting a sneak peek of what’s to come, it can be tricky to keep secrets. But finally, we’re able to tell you about one of the hottest items of 2023 – the Ganni x Dr. Martens boots. When two brilliant brands collide, we can of course expect great things, and this is what happened when iconic footwear brand Dr. Martens reimagined its world-famous ‘Jadon’ boots for its 10-year anniversary.
And what better way to give them a new spin than with the help of Copenhagen-based fashion-editor favourite, Ganni? Giving the classic heavy duty stomper boots a Scandi spin, the boots are embellished with the Ganni logo, while still keeping the instantly recognisable yellow contrast stitch and ‘Airwair’ tag. They’re also made from leather-free, recycled materials.
It has been a big year for Ganni, having dropped its second collection with Brit brand Barbour, and now creating the boot of the season. Since announcing the collaboration on Instagram, hundreds of eager Ganni and Dr. Martens fans have been commenting about how amazing they are, so we predict they’ll sell out pretty quickly.
Luckily, at the moment, they’re still available in all sizes online at ganni.com and drmartens.com, so if you’re quick you’ll be able to get them as a Christmas present (for yourself, of course).
Ticking off the chunky boot trend, if you’re not going to invest in the £249 style, then we’ve found some alternatives from the likes of M&S, H&M and Whistles. Keep scrolling to shop all the best stomper boots for winter.
