From Sophie Turner to Kit Harington, here’s every incredible moment from the red carpet premiere of Game of Thrones.
It’s official, the biggest event in TV history is finally upon us: the eighth and final season of HBO’s Game of Thrones is set to hit our screens on 15 April
To celebrate, the show’s stars gathered in Belfast on Friday 12 April to say farewell to the series they’ve worked on for a decade, not to mention pay homage to Northern Ireland, the “true and undisputed home of Game of Thrones“.
As Bernadette Caulfield, the show’s executive producer, put it: “We are honoured and fortunate to call [beloved Belfast] our home… you were there with us for every single step, and for that we are forever grateful.”
The event, which proved to be an emotional one for many of the show’s cast and crew, was attended by those who had spent the majority of their filming schedules in Northern Ireland - aka Winterfell. This means that the premiere’s red carpet was walked by the likes of Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark), Maisie Williams (Arya Stark), Isaac Hempstead-Wright (Bran Stark), John Bradley (Samwell Tarly), Hannah Murray (Gilly), Carice van Houten (Melisandre), Conleth Hill (Varys), Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm), Nathalie Emmanuel (Missandei), Joe Dempsie (Gendry), Gema Whelan (Yara Greyjoy), and even Kerry Ingram (who played the late Shireen Baratheon).
Here’s what they all wore to the biggest GOT goodbye party of the year.

While predicting the Oscars winners gets harder each year, the strongest Best Picture contenders for 2019 are the films Roma and The Favourite.
Olivia Colman and Glenn Close, meanwhile, are neck and neck for the Best Actress prize.
The winners will be revealed later tonight at the 91st annual Academy Awards gala. Follow the action live on Stylist with our rolling blog here.
