The trend was spotted on the autumn/winter runways of Chloé, Balmain and Loewe.
While making sure we get our five a day may be ingrained in us from a fruit and veg perspective, it seems that fashion has also taken inspiration from the produce aisle for summer.
Chemena Kamali created tiny gold-tone bananas and pineapples to hang on necklaces at Chloé; Jonathan Anderson leaned into kiwis, watermelons and mangoes to craft sequin-embellished bags and clutches; and Olivier Rousteing adorned runway dresses with sparkling versions of life-sized fruit, proving food is fashion’s most eternal muse.
As with most runway trends, the high street has now followed suit, so expect to see elements of your fruit bowl seep into stores. A cherry print has been added to a cotton-linen skirt at New Look, Boden has set its sights on lemon and strawberry print dresses and Farm Rio has plenty of produce-themed picks.
So, keep scrolling to see our nine favourite fruit-printed dresses, tops and skirts that are guaranteed to inject some fun into your wardrobe.
