Fashion is an empowering art form! How do activewear and fashion help you cultivate a positive relationship with body image?

Sportswear and confidence are wholly connected. An outfit can change my mood or outlook on the day ahead, and that’s especially motivating if you’ve got the gym, errands and a packed schedule to be working with.

Taking some time for yourself in the morning to cultivate a look you’re happy with and spending moments on self-care is essential. “Give yourself the morning before you give yourself the world” is a little mantra I like to live by.

Sportswear as OOTDs is the trend that’s here to stay. What are your styling go-tos when working athleisure into your wardrobe?

The 90s, for me, is my happy place, so I’m here for this athleisure boom! You want to go for pieces that are low-key, but absolutely pre-meditated on a Pinterest board, obviously. 

I’m constantly reaching for my Reebok Club Cs to wear from the gym to a day running errands in town – just pass me a pair of Levi’s, my go-to pair of sunnies, and a big pair of white socks and that’s an elevated look I’m happy to bump into anyone in.

What is your non-negotiable in a good piece of activewear?

I need leggings that don’t ride down. I have spent far too many years trying to navigate a run while holding onto my bottoms for my dear life, and I’m not about to flash an innocent dog walker.

I am so happy to be working with Reebok on this scale. I honestly haven’t stepped out of my Reebok Club Cs in the last year, so an opportunity to style together these retro-esque pieces has been an utter joy. My absolute heroes from my selection have to be those trainers and the logo crew neck sweatshirt.

Aside from some fash pack sportswear, what keeps you motivated and in your fitness groove? 

I always start my day with a brisk walk or jog, whether that’s outside or on my running machine when the AM is still gloomy. I’m looking forward to the lighter mornings so I can start taking the run outside again – nothing brings me more solace than starting the day in the park safe in the knowledge that no one knows I’m unironically listening to a rom-com soundtrack yet again…
