10 floral accessories to update your outfit that actually feel groundbreaking for spring

Inspired by Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez and Kate Middleton, here’s how to wear big, bold florals for spring.

As the great Miranda Priestly once declared in The Devil Wears Prada: “Florals for spring? Groundbreaking.” And she wasn’t wrong. While ditsy prints and colourful flowers may feel like familiar territory, a new, more exciting way of embracing nature has also arrived.

For 2023, florals have become a maximalist sartorial statement, worn as corsages, necklaces and statement earrings. Big, bold blooms were everywhere on this year’s Met Gala red carpet, worn by Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Olivia Rodrigo and Jennie Kim. Elsewhere, everyone from Kate Middleton to Gigi Hadid has been spotted embracing flower power in one way or another.
