Those with a penchant for Disney, listen up.

Sparkle shoes are the hot new trend coming out of the SS18 collections, served with an unabashed helping of princess-style glitter.

Footwear that glistens and shimmers is all the rage this season at at New York Fashion Week, in a charge led by none other than Victoria Beckham.

The designer let loose on the theme with her weekend show, debuting turquoise and silver sparkle heels with a distinctly Cinderella vibe:

“I've always been a bit of a magpie,” Beckham told Vogue of the new collection. “There's something happy and girlie about sparkle.”

Somehow, the designer managed effervescent sparkle without being too saccharine about it.

Her glitter shoes were teamed with loose, pastel-hued daywear dresses, while floaty trousers counterbalanced low-heeled sparkle mules.

“Wear it with daywear; turn it on its head then it's not too sweet,” Beckham advises.

The concept garnered a tougher edge over at Coach, with shimmery wedges creating a rebellious disco-queen feel:

The Coach show, aptly enough, played out amid a spectacular glittery set filled with New York roof tops, antique cars and mailboxes.

And Parisian label Zadig et Voltaire brought its own punk element to sparkly footwear, on its attitude-filled “Let Love Rule” runway:

The sparkly silver sneakers, paired with casual crochet, made for a fun yet typically edgy ensemble.
