Backstage at Preen by Thornton Bragazzi, top make-up artist Val Garland let slip how Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen uses an unorthodox method to look young.

Stylist Beauty Assistant Shannon Peter is reporting on the SS15 beauty trends, insider gossip and expert tips from backstage at London Fashion Week

Applying a face full of fake freckles to each model ahead of Preen's SS15 show today, Val Garland revealed that Brazilian Super Gisele Bundchen is a devotee of the unusual beauty trick.

The 34-year-old subtly draws on her famous freckles almost daily, Garland disclosed. "It makes me look younger," the model told the Mac make-up pro.

While drawing on dots may seem like an unusual addition to a beauty routine, Garland certainly pulled off the look for the Preen show, where she wanted to create a "fresh-from-the-gym rosy flush".

She used a combination of brown toned pencils from coffee to mahogany and a dirty blonde shade called Stone to gently dot the models' faces.

And faux freckles weren't confined to make-up - St Tropez's Nichola Joss extended the look to the body with an innovative flick brush technique.

Using an acrylic paint brush she bought from a local art shop, Joss dipped the hard bristled brush in St Tropez's wash-off dark tan and flicked the bristles towards the skin, creating a smattering of natural looking 'freckles' over the arms, chests and legs.
