Disney Princesses re-imagined in the fashions of the year they were created

Disney Princesses are a constant in our lives; As we grow up and grow out of them (albeit, some of us are still obsessed with Disney) they remain exactly the same.
Snow White's red bow, Sleeping Beauty's off-the-shoulder gown and Jasmine's blue harem pants have become timeless fashion icons in their own right.
But what if they were dressed in the fashions of the time their films were released, from the large A-line skirts of the 50s to the legwarmers of the 80s, and the boyfriend trousers and brogues of the current decade?
That's exactly what one Swedish illustrator sought out to do.
"I went for what was [that is] accurate for the time AND what I think the girls would personally wear," wrote Beatrice Lorén on her portfolio on art community website DeviantArt. "This took forever... (I) had to do a lot of research," she adds.
Cinderella is re-imagined in a 1950s gingham frock, Belle is dressed in a pencil skirt and blazer of the early 1990s, and Pocahontas wears a plaid mini skirt and Mary Jane shoes as seen on Cher Horowitz in the 1995 film Clueless.
While we think most of Lorén's modern day fashion choices are spot on, she says: "If you don't agree with me that's fine, but remember that fashion is really personal and it's different around the world (I'm swedish, so this is how I see it)".
Take a look at her artwork in detail below.
Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora and Ariel...
Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas and Mulan...
