Boho is back, thanks to Daisy Edgar-Jones – here’s how to recreate the style at home

These looks are a far cry away from the denim-clad cowboy style of the Twisters movie.
Sienna Miller has been unofficially crowned this season’s celebrity style star by many a fashion fan thanks to a standout M&S collection and plenty of chic street style looks. However, it’s high time this title was shared: Daisy Edgar-Jones’s Twisters press tour looks are bringing boho chic back, and it’s starting to look like the style of the summer.
Dressed by celebrity stylist Dani Michelle, who also looks after the wardrobes of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Hailey Bieber and Bruna Marquezine, Edgar-Jones’s outfits have included pieces from Chemena Kamali’s debut Chloé collection, 16 Arlington, Victoria Beckham and Khatie, with smartly tailored two-pieces, mini dresses and playsuits all standing out as attention-grabbing looks.
However, in contrast to her Twisters movie outfits – ie plenty of denim, cowboy boots and vest tops suited to struggling through a tornado in Oklahoma – it’s the lighter, looser boho style that has dominated her press tour wardrobe: a sheer baby blue maxi dress paired with knee-high boots; a neutral ruffle-adorned mini; clogs and a heavily accessorised black lace top and trouser set have caused quite a storm among fashion insiders.
Luckily, recreating the style is rather simple; after all, bohemian style stems from the end of the French Revolution when money was scarce yet creativity was in abundance, so a few simple tricks will help you lean into the look – most likely with pieces you already own. Just remember to look for looser, lighter layers and don’t shy away from accessories.

Stick to simple shades
Boho veers towards whimsical, romantic and ultra-feminine styles, with ruffles, volume and jewellery aplenty. To allow the shapes and cuts of each piece to become the focal point of any look, you’ll often see each outfit created in simple shades of beiges, creams or pretty pastels, as Edgar-Jones demonstrates here.
While any pared-back shade will do, sticking to one block colour linen, silk or chiffon-like piece (no patterns needed) and adorning with a similar shade of accessories will see you well on your way to achieving that laid-back boho look, whether it’s a loose-fitting mini dress, a long and floaty maxi or a chic jumpsuit.

Layer up the accessories
Accessories are a key element of any boho outfit, with long chain necklaces, bangles and drop earrings all adding to the laid-back look. Plus, they add a good dose of personality, allowing you to elevate each outfit with unique elements.
Gold-tone jewellery, the newly trending cord necklaces and even some tarnished silver pieces all work well, especially when stacked in an almost haphazard (yet often incredibly well-thought-out) way. Oversized sunglasses will boost the summer style even further.

Find loose-fitting fabrics
A core factor making boho fashion such a standout for summer is that it’s light and airy, creating easy-to-move-in styles that look as cool as they feel. While lightweight fabrics such as linen, cotton and chiffon will often lean into this look, opting for voluminous cuts and loose-fitting layers will also help achieve the laid-back beachy boho look.
A floaty maxi skirt styled with a loose-fitting skirt, an oversized mini dress or even wide-leg jeans and a billowing blouse would be ideal.
