Would you wear this label’s new crotchless jeans?

From the people who brought you jeans that turn into shorts, meet what could be described as the complete opposite: jeans that look like they’ve had a pair of shorts cut out of them.

Y/Project has long had fun eschewing traditional denim designs for jean styles less ordinary, and the latest look to make headlines is a button-up number seemingly taking inspiration from the chaps favoured by Christina Aguilera circa Dirrty.

The style features a denim waist much like a suspender belt, with loops attaching it to the legs.

As reported by cosmopolitan.com, the look is available at fwrd.com, which models it with a long shirt conveniently covering up the whole crotch region missed out by the jeans.

They’re not completely out of the park for many people’s styles – after all, Gigi Hadid wore the jeans-that-turn-into-shorts and, predictably, looked amazing:

Y/Project’s Detachable Button Down Pants retail for £446.87.
