Take notes from the playful accessories spotted on the catwalks with these playful charm jewellery pieces that can be worn every day or with sophisticated separates for special occasions.

Charm jewellery has been a mainstay of the jewellery and accessories world for years, but 2025 is set to be the year that you’ll see charms sparkling everywhere.

As an extension of the ongoing 00s fashion resurgence, last year we saw bag charms explode with luxury brands selling playful and nostalgic iterations, including Fendi’s leather Chupa Chups charms; Loewe’s felt animals, vegetables, keyrings and bag charms; and Anya Hindmarch’s wonderfully whimsical bag accessories and charms that include fruit, ketchup sachets and leather shapes that can be personalised with your own handwriting.

At Fendi’s autumn/winter 2025 catwalk show that celebrated the fashion house’s 100th anniversary, bag charms were more important than ever, with nostalgic one-of-a-kind doll ‘maxi charms’ serving as standalone accessories and gold charm details adorning more sophisticated leather handbags.

The bag charms were worn with sophisticated, fashion-forward and sensual looks that spanned tailoring, eveningwear, lace-detail dresses and shearling coats.

In New York at Coach’s autumn/winter 2025 show, Stuart Vevers showed a light-hearted, fun and wearable collection of oversized outerwear and playful toolbox-inspired jewellery in the shape of screwdrivers and wingnuts, personalized nameplate necklaces and brightly colored statement sunglasses.

Pandora has long been known for its wearable yet sentimental jewellery, but beyond the bracelets the brand has become synonymous with, there is an incredible breadth of charms and charm carriers in the form of necklaces, bracelets and earrings to suit every sartorial preference.

The new chapter of Pandora’s Be Love campaign champions the power of love via a cast of talent, models and tastemakers who’ve shared personal stories, memories and acts of love that have transformed their lives. Many of the campaign stars, including Winona Ryder, model the brand’s contemporary chain necklaces, bracelets and charms, including the Be Love heart charm, which is available in sterling silver and 14k gold plated and can be engraved and customised with dates, drawings, initials or symbols.

Pandora also recently launched an exclusive range of engravable symbols that were sketched by Priya Ahluwalia to coincide with London Fashion Week. The six symbols can be engraved onto pendants, lockets, discs, bracelets and charms.
